History has been kind enough to provide plenty of inspirational women in their stories. How in the face of adversities they had chosen to remain true to their identity and prove that they, as women, can. The stories of their journeys to become strong independent women are inspirational in themselves and keep reminding us that we also can.
We have the creative power of great potentials within us. and all we need is a spark to start the fire. Viola Davis illustrated this in her acceptance speech for the “Outstanding Lead Actress” in a Drama trophy at the Emmys award when she quoted Harriet Tubman’s words saying:
In my mind, I see a line. And over that line, I see green fields and lovely flowers and beautiful white women with their arms stretched out to me over that line, but I can’t seem to get there no-how. I can’t seem to get over that line.
She then concluded the speech by saying the “The only thing that separates women of color from anyone else is opportunity….”
It is your choice ladies whether you choose to see the line or not. Great women in the past and present are getting over that line of limitation and are making great impact in their lives and in their community. Women are changing their world and It is my greatest desire that you too will join the wagon and affect your generation. Grab every opportunity that comes your way irrespective of the line that is drawn in front of you. Don’t let anything stop you from crossing the line into that green field that you can see. Success giants are waiting to celeberate you when you cross that line.
Inspirational quotes are the ideal dose of friendly reminders on how you as a woman are strong and capable. What better way than to read other women’s sentiments of fellow women and the condition of a woman. The best part is the beauty of language. There in the quote is a thought so profoundly wrapped in unique word choice. Small enough to read for a few seconds, but profound enough to leave a lifelong impression on your life. Here are some of the shoulders of great women that you can stand on:
“I choose to make the rest of my life the best of my life.” – Louise Hay
